Greycliff Prairie Dog Town State Park is a ninety-eight-acre Montana state park at the eastern edge of Greycliff, created to protect and preserve black-tailed prairie dogs. The prairie dog colony is the park’s central feature and defines its significance. The land was first purchased by The Nature Conservancy, then acquired by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks with support from the Montana State Long Range Building Fund and the National Park Service. In addition to preserving wildlife habitat, the park offers interpretive displays and picnic tables, follows a pack-it-out trash policy, and allows pets.
