The Old Mill and The Old Mill Square historic village are a vibrant part of modern Pigeon Forge, continuing a tradition that began in 1830 as a grain mill and community gathering place. Always owned and operated by local families, The Old Mill has long been more than a mill, serving as a place where people gather to enjoy food and company while still producing and selling stone-ground products. The site now offers family fun through shopping, dining, entertainment, and lodging, including cabins, unique stores in The Old Mill Square, restaurants, events, and live entertainment throughout the year. The Old Mill Restaurant serves dishes made with products from The Old Mill, including biscuits, cornbread, pancakes, hush puppies, muffins, and grits, while the Pottery House Cafe serves meals on tableware handcrafted and kiln-fired on site by master potters. Shopping includes prepared foods and kitchen supplies at The Farmhouse Kitchen, handmade candy at The Candy Kitchen, ice cream at The Creamery, toys at The Toy Bin, provisions at The Old Mill General Store, and handcrafted tableware and gifts at The Old Mill Pigeon River Pottery, with almost everything also available online or by mail order catalog.
