Hebron Methodist Protestant Church is one of nine rural Methodist Protestant churches founded in Sussex County before 1888 and the only known rural church of that denomination in the county to have undergone minimal alteration since its construction. It exemplifies vernacular Greek Revival chapel architecture and retains its original interior finishes. The congregation formed in 1879 and first met at Kings School #54. The present site was acquired from John Day in April 1888, construction was completed on October 24, 1888, regular services ended in 1934, and the church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
