The courageous men of America fought and died for a great ideal, and those living bear the responsibility to keep faith with these honored dead. The torch of liberty, freedom, and brotherly love has been passed on to the living, who are called to stand shoulder to shoulder with the pioneer and with the honored dead in continuing to build this great nation, the United States of America.
