In 1905 J.L. Swan donated this land for a school and a cemetery. In 1913 the school was moved down the road through the work of Herman and Emma Breland Lieb, Tom and Laura Rowland, and many others. The Church of Christ bought the property. A tabernacle was built in the early 1920's. In later years a new church building of rock was erected. It was lost to fire on January 25, 1997.
