The Memorial Vol. Fire Co. was founded in 1954 after a fire destroyed a business on Bay Ave. It was re-incorporated in 1958, and its original two bay station was constructed in the fall of 1959. The charter members named it the Memorial Fire Co. in honor of those who have served the country in time of war.
