Veterans of all wars are honored for preserving freedom, sustaining the nation, and blessing the world, with special remembrance for those who gave the supreme sacrifice and prayers that their souls may rest in peace; those remembered include service in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf, and members of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Wacs, Waves, Nurses, and the Merchant Marine of World War II.
