Grass Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a protected wildlife area in central Montana within the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Managed from the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, it was formerly called Halfbreed Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Its primary purpose is to provide nesting habitat for migratory bird species, giving it an important role in sustaining bird life as part of a broader network of protected lands in Montana.
