Bald Mountain is a 11,787-foot summit in the West Elk Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It rises in the West Elk Wilderness within Gunnison National Forest, about 11 miles east-southeast of Crawford in Gunnison County, Colorado. As part of the protected high-country landscape of the West Elk Wilderness, the peak stands within one of Colorado’s more remote mountain regions.
