Dwight Harris was born in Taylor, Florida, on March 5, 1932, the son of Vandie and Sippie (Canaday) Harris. He graduated from M-GHS in 1950, played on the first championship basketball team in 1948-1949, graduated from the first pharmacy class at the University of Florida in 1960, and worked as a pharmacist for 42 years. He is remembered by a friend.
