Tunas Peak, a summit in Pecos County, Texas, is known for its distinctive breast-shaped profile and takes its name from nearby Tunas Creek. Visible from Interstate 10 near the long-abandoned town of Bakersfield, it became a notable roadside landmark and local curiosity, even appearing on souvenirs sold at a nearby gas station. Beyond its visual prominence, the peak is also an archaeological site. Investigations in 1974 and 1980 during Interstate 10 construction and widening uncovered tipi rings, several fire-cracked rock middens, and artifacts including Perdiz, Livermore, and Langtry projectile points and shell pendants.
