On April 30, 2000, the Jenkins County Development Authority placed this flag pole and flags here to honor all servicemen who served in the American Revolution, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and Desert Storm. The arrangements committee included Hubert Reeves, Jr., Frank Edenfield, E.J. Daniel, Bobby Dwelle, and Rev. Bill Coggins.
