Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is Plano’s largest park, an 800-acre protected landscape centered on Rowlett Creek, wooded areas, open space, and a lake. Its 26 trails include concrete and soft-surface routes and connect to regional paths through Allen’s Six Cities Trail and the Bluebonnet Trail. The preserve supports kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing, with bobcats, coyotes, turtles, snakes, and fish among the animals found there. It also serves as a major civic and recreation site, with an amphitheater, retreat center, aerial course, access to Bob Woodruff Park, and the annual Plano Balloon Festival.
