The Oliver Village, often called the Strawtown Enclosure, was enclosed by a stockade wall and ditch. At Strawtown Koteewi Park, the stockade wall and ditch are representative of what was found there. The ditch was well drained and was not intended to collect water. The original Strawtown Enclosure Village was about 100 yards in diameter. The actual village site is located just to the west. The Castor Farm Village was surrounded by a double stockade wall.
