Colonel Raymond E. Morris, USAF Retired, served as the first Columbian Theatre Foundation Executive Secretary and was an extraordinary volunteer, without whom the Columbian renovation would not have been possible. The Columbian Eagle is a replica of the eagle from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition that adorned this building from 1895 to 1927, and its design and construction were donated by John Miller of Wamego, Kansas.
