Nolte State Park is a 117-acre Washington state park on Deep Lake near Enumclaw, Cumberland, and the western edge of the Cascade Mountains by the Green River Gorge. Once operated as a resort, the property became public in 1971 when Minnie Nolte donated it to the state, preserving Deep Lake’s shoreline for recreation instead of private development. The park includes 7,174 feet of shoreline around the 39-acre lake, which reaches 76 feet deep. Known for quiet, low-key outdoor use, it offers a fishing pier, beach area, lakeside trail, and limited carry-in boat access. Fishing for trout, kokanee, crappie, and brown bullhead is a major attraction.
