The 1885 bell first stood at Orange and Central, where it alerted Orlando's newly organized fire companies to fires. It was later moved to Oak Street, now Wall Street, between Orange Avenue and Court Avenue beside Orlando's first fire station. The bell eventually resided at OFD 1, 439 Magnolia Street, and then moved in 2009 to Orlando Fire Station One, The Big House.
