Babb's Bridge is a covered road bridge over the Presumpscot River on Hurricane Road, connecting Gorham and Windham in southern Maine. The current bridge, built in 1976, faithfully replicates a 19th-century covered bridge destroyed by arson in 1973. A single-span queenspost truss enclosed in vertical siding and topped by a gabled roof, it preserves the traditional New England covered-bridge form. The original bridge, whose construction date is variously given as 1843 or 1864, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Rebuilt through local advocacy, donated materials, volunteer labor, and traditional methods, it remains a local landmark despite later vandalism and major damage in 2024.
