This building and lot were donated to the Town of Iva and the Iva District 10 Fire Department by W. Parker Bowie and his wife, Marie T. Bowie, in honor of his father, Luther E. Bowie, and his mother, Lucia P. Bowie. It was dedicated to the citizens of this area for the protection of their lives and property. The assistance of George V. Harris, Jr., as Construction Superintendent was acknowledged.
