Beaver Falls is a waterfall on Beaver Creek near Clatskanie in northwestern Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge. About forty feet wide, the creek fans through a narrow chute at high speed before plunging into a natural amphitheater formed by layered basalt. The site is reached by the short Beaver Falls Trail, roughly three-tenths of a mile from the trailhead on Beaver Falls Road. Surrounding the falls is a forest of Douglas fir, western red-cedar, western hemlock, and big-leaf maple, with sword fern, Oregon grape, and salal growing beneath the canopy.
