Puget Sound Energy's Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility was completed in 2006 and expanded in 2009. The site contains 149 wind turbines and 2,723 solar panels that together generate enough electricity to power about 70,000 households. On clear days, some of the wind-powered turbines are visible to the west across the Columbia River from this overlook.
