Bell of Highway Patrol in 1939, Curtis J Pope, constable, in 1943, Coleman B. McAteer, constable, in 1947, W. Clarence Hunter of the Sheriff's Department in 1972, J. T. McAteer of the Sheriff's Department in 1977, Roy D Hardin of the Sheriff's Department in 2001, and D. Kevin Cusack of Highway in 2010. It is accompanied by the biblical words, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9.
