West Allen Williams and his family rest here, moved reverently from a forgotten cemetery a few miles away and laid in honor and absolute respect on November 17, 2002. Their burial place was consecrated as sacred ground within the life of the community, reconnecting Williamston with its history and renewing a devotion of perpetual care. Their memory is tied to the unselfish giving that made Williamston a community and to a legacy intended to continue in remembrance.
