In 1928, the Boy Scouts erected 2,400 monuments to commemorate the first coast-to-coast highway from New York to San Francisco. This monument was dedicated to the memory of Mr. Albino Fillin of Fort Bridger, who sought to save it for future generations. Special thanks were given to Mr. Floyd Fillin for donating it. Thoughtful persons such as these help preserve this heritage.
