Cathalorri was built in 1854 for merchant R. S. Willis by craftsman J. E. Shelton, with hand-planed siding and a pegged and morticed framework. It was restored in 1965 by Mr. and Mrs. R. Waldrop and named for their two granddaughters. It became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1966.
