Bucher’s Mill Covered Bridge, also known as Butcher’s Mill Covered Bridge, spans Cocalico Creek in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1891 by Elias McMellen, it was badly damaged by flooding the next year and rebuilt by him in 1892. At 64 feet long, it is one of the county’s shortest covered bridges, surpassed in brevity only by Landis Mill Covered Bridge. County owned and maintained, it is officially designated the Cocalico #2 Bridge. Its single-span wooden double Burr arch truss includes steel hanger rods and an oak-plank deck. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
