Charles Morton Share, the son of pioneer merchants Lizzie and Charles Share, served in the U.S Armed Forces in WWI, was active in the Presbyterian Church, and established the Charles Morton Share Trust, which has funded the Library, Hospital, Professional Building, Wellness Center, Bill Johnson Correctional Center, and many other worthwhile projects in the city of Alva.
