Navajo Church is a 7,350-foot rock formation in the Zuñi Mountains of western New Mexico, east-northeast of Gallup and just north of Church Rock, which was named for it. Composed of three spires, it rises about 550 feet above nearby Red Rock State Park and is reached by a 2.2-mile round-trip trail around its base. The formation is regarded as sacred by the Navajo people, and its runoff drains toward the Puerco River. Geologically, it consists of the Westwater Canyon Member of the Morrison Formation from the Late Jurassic, standing above older layers including the Recapture Member, Zuni Sandstone, Bluff Sandstone, Summerville Formation, and Entrada Sandstone.
