Kingsbrae Garden is home to Wollemia nobilis, one of the world’s oldest and rarest trees and the only one in Canada, after an epic journey of 10,000 miles from Wollemi National Park in Australia’s Blue Mountains. The wollemi pines have survived for millions of years, outliving their prehistoric relatives from the age of dinosaurs to the present era while keeping their gene pool pure and unchanged, and their preservation is now part of a worldwide conservation effort.
