In 1913, Peter J. Giovannoni built a garage for Frank Patchett’s new Ford dealership, known as the Patchett-Hendy Co. After the Ford company moved to a larger location, the building became Frank Nunes Garage. It also housed city offices, the police department, and the post office, where post office box rentals were introduced.
