The Susanville Veterans Memorial Building was constructed and dedicated to honor the veterans of World War I and all future veterans who have served the United States of America and Lassen County. It was built from February through August 1926 and dedicated on August 17, 1926. The building hosted the American Legion State Convention from August 15 to 19, 1926, and more than 2500 people attended, doubling the size of Susanville.
