The lot was bought by Mr. Klingbeil in 1884. In 1886, Labonta and Metro built a wood framed store, veneered with Pentwater brick, and installed a metal roof. In 1887, Mr. Klingbeil ran a Merchant, Tailor and Drapery Store there. Mr. Carney purchased the building in 1905. From 1926 to 1956, it housed Mark Patsy McMahon's Barber Shop. In 1956, Tom and Barb Gregwer opened the Drift-in Restaurant, and in 1969 they expanded the restaurant and converted the upper level into bedrooms. The building later housed Don Fres Land and Lake Sports Shop in 1984, Painted Pony and Tea Room in 1990, J. Morgan Jewelers in 2004, and Pet Hollywood in 2007.
