Ventnor City honored the boys from the city who served in World War I. The memorial was made possible through the efforts of Navajo Tribe No. 275 I.O.R.M. and citizens of the city committee, including James C. Scull, Dahlgren Albertson, and Clement Wasleski, and it preserved a roll of honor naming those who served from Ventnor City.
