Joyland Park on Paris Pike featured the Wildcat rollercoaster, the Joyland Railroad, a midway, Fayette Co.'s first public swimming pool, and a dance casino featuring jazz and big bands like Duke Ellington and Artie Shaw, as well as local and regional entertainers. The segregated park provided picnic areas, July 4th fireworks, and fun for many children.
