Lake Hartwell State Park is a South Carolina park on Lake Hartwell near Fair Play, established in 1976 on land mostly leased from the United States Army Corps of Engineers, with some acreage acquired from private owners. Covering 680 acres and 14 miles of shoreline, it was formerly called Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area. The park centers on lake access and outdoor recreation, especially boating and fishing, supported by two boat ramps. It also offers a playground, picnic areas, hiking trails, campsites, and two rental cabins open year-round. An information center includes a display of vintage fishing equipment, adding a small historical element to its recreational setting.
