John W. Kyle State Park is a public recreation area in northern Mississippi on the shore of Sardis Reservoir, about six miles east of Sardis. Built around one of the region’s major lakes, it provides access to the reservoir’s broad waters and surrounding wooded landscape. Named for John W. Kyle, who served as both a Mississippi state senator and a U.S. representative, the park is centered on outdoor recreation, especially boating and fishing on the 98,000-acre reservoir. Its facilities include 200 campsites, 20 cabins, a visitors center, picnic areas, and the 18-hole Mallard Pointe golf course, making it a base for enjoying one of Mississippi’s largest reservoir settings.
