Wahunsonacock was the paramount chief of 30 tribes that inhabited over 6000 square miles of Virginia's coastal lands. He was the father of Pocahontas and the authority who dealt with the first Jamestown colonists. He is remembered as one of the most powerful leaders from a virgin land now called Virginia.
