The Chapel in the Woods
Faith
6
Originally built as the Lyceum Building in 1936, this structure remains largely unchanged from its original construction. Today it is affectionately called the Chapel in the Woods and is regularly used for weekly church and message services. At the heart of Camp Chesterfield, it hosts many important events throughout the year, including weddings, funerals, ordinations, dedications, lectures, and church and message services, and it has been an integral part of the camp's religious and social life for many generations. In addition to the sanctuary on the main floor, a classroom is located in the basement, along with the Rev. Evelyn Reigle Séance Room. The Healing Sanctuary, a meditation room open to the public, may be accessed via the rear entrance.
