Construction of Brewer Scout Cabin was completed in 1934 by the W.P.A., an economic rehab program of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It was approved as a Kansas Historic Site on February 26, 2000, and was dedicated in 1984 as "Brewer Scout Cabin."
