Raymond Gary State Park in southeast Oklahoma centers on the 263-acre Raymond Gary Lake, whose compact setting supports fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and picnicking. The park includes a handicap-accessible fishing dock, two unlighted boat ramps, recreational vehicle sites, six cabins, a swimming area, and a children's playground. Both the park and adjoining lake are named for Raymond D. Gary, who served as Governor of Oklahoma from 1955 to 1959. The site also gained brief astronomical significance in 2024 as one of seven Oklahoma state parks within the path of totality for the solar eclipse, where totality lasted 3 minutes and 51 seconds.
