Loranger High School’s original structure dated to 1912, and the present structure was built in 1930. It served as a community, civic, and educational center. The school was built under the direction of W. G. Cory, a School Board member, and J. F. Corkern, principal. Its alumni association was organized in 1922 and was one of the oldest in Louisiana.
