The 1856 Federal Style Gideon H. Pond House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its restoration was funded through a $270,000 grant appropriated by the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources. The work was a project of the Minnesota State Historical Society and the City of Bloomington. The site is Pond-Dakota Mission Park, location of the 1843-1852 Oak Grove Mission.
