Nine comrades of the church who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II are remembered here: Herbert Branton, George L. Dover, Grady E. Dover, Elvis Hamrick, Earl R. Hicks, Jr., Elmer Propst, Garnet Tolbert, Hassell Wall, and Raymond B. Yarbrough. Ginkgo trees honored their memory, and in 1999 those trees were replaced by Bowhall Maples as a continuing memorial to these men.
