The original three story wooden Donoho Hotel was built by Squire 0. Donoho circa 1901 and was destroyed by fire circa 1913. The present hotel was built by Lon and Charles Phillips and opened in April 1914 as a 52 room, two story wooden hotel. It featured a two lane, five pin bowling alley across the creek from the hotel. Prominent guests included President Woodrow Wilson. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and features a historic district due to having original structures. Water featured here was black, and in keeping with the therapeutic history, massage therapy is offered.
