At this site are the graves of Annie Oakley’s father, Jacob Mosey (Moses), who lived from 1799 to 1866, and four of her siblings: Mary Jane, 1851 to 1867; Elizabeth, 1855 to 1881; Catherine, who died at eight months old in 1859; and an unnamed sibling marked by a small marker, 1865 to 1865. Across from these graves lies Annie’s mother, Susan Shaw, who remarried after Jacob’s death and lived from 1832 to 1908.
