Sweetbay Natural Area is a one thousand ninety-four-acre protected area in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, located within the North County Airport property near Aviation Boulevard, Bee Line Highway, and PGA Boulevard. It preserves a diverse landscape of wetlands, pine flatwoods, and oak hammock. These habitats support a range of wildlife, including wading birds, red-shouldered hawks, bobcats, eastern lubber grasshoppers, and Florida box turtles. The area is significant as a protected sanctuary that conserves both native ecosystems and the animals that depend on them within a developed part of Palm Beach County.
