Ceylon Covered Bridge spans the Wabash River in Wabash Township, Adams County, Indiana. Built in 1879 by the Smith Bridge Company of Toledo, Ohio, the 130-foot truss is the only surviving covered bridge over the Wabash River. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007 recognized both its nineteenth-century engineering and its rarity among Indiana river crossings, making it an important example of the region’s historic bridge construction.
