The people of Bradley County served their country in war, and among those who gave their lives were Paul T. McCracken, Roy L. Whaley, James L. Evans, John M. Cofer, William D. Johnson, Charles T. Lewis, Jack C. Manis, Ralph F. Underwood, Calvin R. Johnson, James C. Hibben, and Arthur D. Roddy in Korea from 1950 to 1955; Larry A. Branam, Johnny Hickey, Jimmie R. Wolfe, Edward G. Sharpe, Willford L. Dyer, William L. Johnson, James F. Daniel, Dennis M. Poteat, James K. Parker, John R. Munger, and Denver A. Longwith in Vietnam from 1964 to 1975; and James W. Price and David T. Weir in the Gulf War beginning in 1990.
