On May 30, 1960, Pasadena Post No. 277 of the American Legion dedicated to Anne Arundel County a memorial honoring all who fought valiantly in the World Wars and Korea, with eternal gratitude to those who made the supreme sacrifice to preserve equality and freedom throughout the world. It bore the words, “Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” The plaque was contributed by the Kennecott Refining Corp.
