Brackenridge Recreation Complex is a public park on Lake Texana near Edna in Jackson County, Texas, operated by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. Established as Lake Texana State Park, the site was acquired in 1977 through a 50-year lease involving the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the United States Bureau of Reclamation, and the river authority, and it opened in September 1981. State operation ended on August 31, 2012, when management passed to the river authority. With mixed oak and pecan woodlands, wetlands, and reservoir habitat, the area supports deer, rabbits, armadillos, raccoons, alligators, and other wildlife while continuing as a public outdoor destination under a new name.
